Miss Abergavenny/Carnival Queen & Princesses Competition

Carnival Queen & Princessess 2006Last year Dancemaster member, Leah Dobbins, was chosen to as one of the two Carnival Princesses. Competition time is here again to find the 2007 Miss Abergavenny/Carnival Queen and Princesses. It could be you!!!!

This year the Miss Abergavenny/Carnival Queen and Princesses Competition is again being sponsored by local music school Mayzmusik, and will be held on Friday June 1st at 7.30pm at Nevill Hall Sports and Social Club.

The judges will be looking for a confident, outgoing young lady with a lively personality who will enjoy being centre of attention and who will be willing, with a chaperone if necessary, to attend various functions and charitable events throughout her year as Miss Abergavenny/Carnival Queen.

Candidates for Miss Abergavenny/Carnival Queen should be 14 years of age by 14th July 2007, which is Carnival Day. All candidates including those younger than 14 years of age will be eligible for the title of Princess, and two Princesses will be chosen to attend the Carnival Queen on Carnival Day.

All candidates should dress as for a sophisticated evening out. There will be dancing to a live band and candidates will parade in front of a panel of judges and be interviewed by the Master of Ceremonies to aid the judges in the selection process.

To make it an evening to remember, all the young ladies entering the competition should bring along family and friends to support them.

The winners will receive vouchers to spend at a local fashion store, and on Carnival Day will receive special pampering as befits a Queen and her Princesses!
