Crickhowell High School pupils not only won their days event in Southampton which means that they will be going through to the finals but due to their success, professionalism and creativity within the competition, they have been chosen to representing the whole of the UK in Dubai in February 2008. On Wednesday 21st February I was fortunate enough to take part in the Young Carers Festival at Monmouth Leisure Centre.

Abergavenny Amateur Operatic & Dramatic Society Junior Section will be performing West Side Story between Monday 20th and Saturday 25th November 2006 at the Borough Theatre.
Lauren Thomas, Elaine Goodfellow, Laura Chicken and Isaac Pritchard will be performing in this production based on Romeo & Juliet and set in New York City where rival street gangs, the Jets and the Sharks battle for territory and respect, this production is a mixture of vibrant dance, powerful drama and fantastic music and songs including ‘Maria’, ‘Tonight’, ‘America’ and the poignant ‘Somewhere’.
