The new look of cream and purple (the Scouting colours) has not just brightened the room but it is now ready for the Scouts to celebrated 100 years of Scouting since Lord Robert Baden-Powell founded the Scouting movement. On Wednesday 21st February I was fortunate enough to take part in the Young Carers Festival at Monmouth Leisure Centre.

Monmouthshire Crossroads ‘Caring for Carers’ is a Young Carers Project that supports children and young people between 8 - 18 years who have responsibilities caring for sick or disabled relatives at home. (more…)

I know some of you are off this week on half term and others are off next week. Dancemaster’s half term is from 17th February until 23rd February inclusive.

There is NO dancing on Saturday 17th February and you all go back as from Saturday 24th February.

Due to the bad weather we had last week, many of the dance classes were cancelled, I therefore feel it would be unfair to award anyone with Pupil of the Week this week.

Keep working hard and practising your routines.

After speaking to some of the parents and having found out that the Crickhowell to Abergavenny road has been close, I have decided to cancel dance classes for this Saturday.

Please ensure that you tell everyone you know, they may know someone else that dances. Pass on the news.

Could you please let me know whether you will be dancing this Saturday, 10th February.

Dancing was cancelled on Thursday due to the weather. The weather forecasters did not predict snow for today and I am concerned that this weather will continue.

Could you please let me know whether you will be attending / we should cancel dancing on Saturday 10th February by voting on the Forum Page.

It is important that you do this and keep your eyes peeled to see whether dancing has been cancelled or not.

Today, Thursday 8th February, heavy snow fall and the projected frosts have closed the all the schools in this area. I know many of you travel quite a distance to come to dance class and live in rural / remote areas, I have therefore decided to cancel all dance classes today.

Hope you all have fun in the snow, keep warm and safe and keep practising your dancing.
