Rock Challenge Results - Crickhowell High School

As per the previous news bulletin , I am now pleased to announce the Rock Challenge Results. Crickhowell High School pupils not only won their days event in Southampton which means that they will be going through to the finals but due to their success, professionalism and creativity within the competition, they have been chosen to representing the whole of the UK in Dubai in February 2008. Crickhowell High School Warm Up

Carys Thomas, Molly Keane, Charlotte Evans, all from Saturday 1, and Elena Davies from Saturday 2 were last week asked to warm up their year 7 P.E. group. The girls, all year 7 at Crickhowell High School, Crickhowell, Powys, warmed up the group of year 7 girls using our usual warm up. (more…)

Young Carers Festival

On Wednesday 21st February I was fortunate enough to take part in the Young Carers Festival at Monmouth Leisure Centre.

Monmouthshire Crossroads ‘Caring for Carers’ is a Young Carers Project that supports children and young people between 8 - 18 years who have responsibilities caring for sick or disabled relatives at home. (more…)

AAODS West Side Story - Review

The show left you wanting more.

A cast of around 50 youngsters, lively music and a strong story line - how could this show fail.

The first night by the junior members of the Abergavenny Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society - performing to a full house - was smooth and slick, and left you wanting more. (more…)

Abergavenny Amateur Operatic & Dramatic Society Junior Section will be performing West Side Story between Monday 20th and Saturday 25th November 2006 at the Borough Theatre.

Lauren Thomas, Elaine Goodfellow, Laura Chicken and Isaac Pritchard will be performing in this production based on Romeo & Juliet and set in New York City where rival street gangs, the Jets and the Sharks battle for territory and respect, this production is a mixture of vibrant dance, powerful drama and fantastic music and songs including ‘Maria’, ‘Tonight’, ‘America’ and the poignant ‘Somewhere’.

Tickets can be purchased from the Borough Theatre
Monday £8 (Senior Citizens & Children £7)
Tuesday - Saturday £8 (Children Only £7)
