Charlie Le Moignan has made it through to the Abergavenny Young Musician of the Year Finals. The Finals of Abergavenny’s Young Musician of the Year are organised by Abergavenny Rotary Club and will be held on the evening of Tuesday 20th March where Charlie will be performing with her Flute.
I wish you the VERY best of luck Charlie and hope you make the title of Abergavenny’s Young Musician of the year.
When speaking to Charlie she was very excited yet nervous of the other talented competitors and was hoping to play with her new Flute which is arriving later this week. I am sure you will be fine, just enjoy the experience and have fun.
Charlie will also be performing at ‘The Sage Gatehead’ in NewcastleGateshead with the Greater Gwent Wind Symphonia in the National Concert Band Festival (NCBF).
The National Concert Band Festival is the UK’s largest wind band and big band festival, attracting bands from all over the UK and catering for all age groups. The two-day festival is open to the public to enjoy some great wind and big band performing, there is also adjudication and an awards presentation. It is said that “the atmosphere will be electric for the whole weekend”.
Charlie’s talented Flute playing enables her to perform with many different bands throughout Gwent, I often wonder how this 13 year old has time to dance but somehow she fits it in. Well done Charlie, I am very proud of you.
Good luck to you for both these events.
